Roman Catholic Diocese of Székesfehérvár

The Diocese of Székesfehérvár ( German Diocese of Székesfehérvár, Hungarian Székesfehérvári Egyházmegye, latin Dioecesis Albae Regalensis ) is a Hungarian diocese, which is the Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest assumed.

The diocese was founded on June 16, 1777 from parts of the archbishopric of Gran in northeastern Transdanubian under Pope Pius VI. and Queen Maria Theresia built. On May 18, 1922 more parishes were transferred to the newly built Apostolic Administration of Burgenland.
