Roman Malinovsky

Wazlawowitsch Roman Malinovsky (Russian Роман Вацлавович Малиновский; * 6 Märzjul / March 18 1876greg, .. † November 5, 1918 in Moscow) was a Russian revolutionary, politician and agent of the Tsarist secret police, the Okhrana.

Life

Malinowski was convicted in 1899 of burglary to a prison sentence. From 1901 to 1905 he served in the Russian army.

1914 Malinowski's true identity was finally revealed and he went into exile in Germany. At the outbreak of the First World War he was interned in a POW camp. Lenin is said to have even held still to him and sent him clothes.

When he tried to rejoin his old party in Petrograd in 1918, he was recognized by Grigori Zinoviev, convicted after a short trial as a traitor and executed by a firing squad.
