Romanian general election, 2004

The presidential elections in Romania in 2004 took place on 28 November and on 12 December 2004. In the first round were Adrian Năstase of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and Traian Basescu of the Alliance for Justice and Truth - consisting of the National Liberal Party and the Democratic Party - the most votes. In the run- up Băsescu was able to prevail against almost Năstase.
