Rosnochau, Polish Rozkochów, is a town in Upper Silesia. Rosnochau located in the municipality rolls in the powiat Krapkowicki in Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geographical Location

Rosnochau located five kilometers west of the parish seat rollers eleven kilometers south of the county town of Krapkowice ( Krappitz ) and 34 kilometers south of the Opole voivodship.

History

Rosnochau 1264 first mentioned. 1767 the first school was built. In 1862 the town had 350 inhabitants.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 375 voters voted to remain in Germany and 21 for Poland. In Gutsbezirk Rosnochau 88 people voted for Germany and two for Poland .. Rosnochau remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 834 inhabitants in the village. On October 10, 1936, the town was renamed in Roßweide. 1939, the place had 858 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Neustadt OS.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Rozkochów and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Krapkowicki. On April 4, 2006, in the municipality of rollers, the Rosnochau belongs introduced German as a second official language, and on 3 June 2009 was the place in addition to the official German names Rosnochau.
