Rtishchevsky District

The Rtischtschewski rayon (Russian Ртищевский район ) is a raion in Russia's Saratov Oblast. The administrative center is the city Rtischtschewo.

Geography

Geographical location

The Rtischtschewski rayon is located in the northwestern part of the Saratov Oblast, about 200 kilometers west of the city of Saratov on the border of Penza Oblast. The Raion is located in the transition zone from forest to steppe near the source of the river Chopjor.

Structure

The Rajon divided into the township Rtischtschewo and six rural municipalities with a total of 93 villages.
