Geography
Rowing village is situated in the eastern part of the Thuringian Basin between Etter Mountain and Finn.
History
For the first time the community was in Hersfelder goods directory in 805 in a document erwähnt.1214 possessed the gift-giving of Großvargula own goods and fief of the Abbey of Fulda and the Landgrave of Thuringia in rowing village.
During the Second World War, more than 250 women and men from Poland, Ukraine and Russia had to do forced labor in agriculture.
