Rudník, Myjava District

Rudnik (Hungarian Rudnik ) is a municipality in western Slovakia.

Location and General Description

The municipality was established on April 1, 1955 as a spin of several settlements from the city Myjava. The name of the village was first mentioned in 1661.

The municipality is located in the hill country between the Little Carpathians in the south and the White Carpathians in the north. Nové Mesto nad Váhom is located approximately 25 kilometers east of the city, Myjava about 5 kilometers to the east, about 25 kilometers west of Senica.
