By her first husband Maalik ibn Umm Sulaym to nadir was the mother of the famous companions of the Prophet Anas ibn Maalik.

According to several reports, cited by Muhammad ibn Sa ʿ d, Umm Sulaym took even during marriage with Maalik Islam to what has been disapproved by her husband, mainly because she hosted her son to this new faith out. Once Maalik was killed in battle a few time later, recruited another man around her, Abu Talha, who, like it belonged to the clan of the Khazraj Naddschār, but also still clung to the ancient Arabian idolatry. She told him that she would only be willing to marry him if he as they acknowledge the prophethood of Muhammad. According to a report, the Abū Dāwūd as- Sidschistānī leads, Umm Sulaym said to have refused to cut off a lock of hair of her son who had touched with his hand the prophet. After a narrative that Muslim ibn al - Hajjaj narrated citing Anas, a dessert that Umm Sulaym sent the prophet to a Hochzeicht on miraculous way so that about 300 men could eat it increased.

At the Battle of Uhud Umm Sulaym is drenched the thirsty and have patched up the wounded. Also at the Battle of Hunayn in 630 they should - have been present, where they had a dagger while she was holding their defense in front of their body - in pregnant state. In many hadiths of Umm Sulaym in particular the prayer appears as a mediator of teachings of the Prophet about the ritual prescriptions.
