Willard Russell Letlow ( born October 5, 1913 in Dinuba, California, USA; † 12 October 1987) was a U.S. American football player. He played in the National Football League ( NFL) with the Green Bay Packers on the offensive line.

Playing career

Letlow studied at the University of San Francisco. It was 1936 in the first round committed in 7th place of the NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. Letlow played in the trained by Curly Lambeau team as a guard, and offensive tackle. Letlow was responsible for the protection of Arnie Herber and later for the protection of Cecil Isbell, who played as a quarterback for the Packers. He also was used as a blocker of running back Clarke Hinkle. 1936 was the Packers, after a season with 10 gained discharged in 12 games, move into the NFL championship game and beat the Boston Redskins with 21:6.

1938 lost the Packers in the final game against the New York Giants at 23:17. In 1939, the team won nine of Letlow of 11 games and also won the playoff against the Giants with 27-0.

1941 was the team from Green Bay 10 make victorious by 11 games, but the team failed in the championship semi-final game at the Chicago Bears with 33:14. After the 1942 season Letlow had his military service with the U.S. Navy serve, but where he played American football for a Navy team. After another year at the Packers Letlow completed in 1946 his career.

Honors

Letlow twice played in the Pro Bowl, the season final game of the best players of the season. He was elected four times to the All- Pro and is a member of the NFL 1930s All- Decade Team and the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
