Juice S. A. ( Société des Accumulateurs Fixes et de Traction, Société Anonyme ) is a French battery and accumulator manufacturer based in the town of Bagnolet northeast of Paris. The company's shares belong to the French stock index CAC Small 90 and are listed on the Paris Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol EPA.SAFT. Juice employs approximately 4,000 employees and operates in 17 countries.

Section

The company is a world leader in the field of nickel - cadmium batteries ( NiCd) for industrial use. They are produced in large format wet cells with liquid electrolyte in various sizes. As one of the few manufacturers to offer juice also batteries that are suitable for the use of pure electric vehicles and have been proven in practice. The electric scooter Scoot'Elec Peugeot goes for example with three NiCd batteries of type STM 5-100 MR.

In Germany, the company Friemann & Wolf GmbH and battery Tadiran Batteries GmbH belong to the juice group. Both are based in Büdingen and finished primary lithium batteries ( lithium manganese dioxide batteries and lithium - thionyl chloride batteries ).

Turnover

According to the company, the company sold in 2007 to € 600 million. Of this amount, 47% to industrial batteries, 39 % on lithium and silver batteries and 14% on batteries.
