Saint -Martin- d'Arcé to 31 December 2013 was an independent commune with 794 inhabitants ( as of 2010) in the department of Maine -et -Loire in the Pays de la Loire.

Since 1 January 2013, Saint -Martin- d'Arcé is part of the newly created municipality of Baugé -en- Anjoun. By this date, the municipalities of Saint -Martin- d'Arcé, Pontigné, Montpollin, Baugé and Le Vieil Baugé - were merged into one commune nouvelle. Geography

Saint -Martin- d'Arcé is located in the countryside Baugeois, enclosed in a narrow valley.
