Sakir-Har

Sokarhor (also Sokar -Hor, Sakarher, Sekerher, Sikruhaddu, Sikru - Haddu ) was an unknown ancient Egyptian King (Pharaoh) of the Second Intermediate Period. Its exact position is uncertain. After Thomas Schneider reigned probably in the 15th Dynasty.

Documents

Sakarher is so far known only from the fragment of a door jamb from Limestone from Tell el- Daba. This was found in 1993 by Manfred Bietak in a building from the 18th Dynasty and contained the titulary of the king.

Classification

The chronology of the ruler is difficult. Contrary to general expectation is the title Hyksos ( heka - chasut - rulers of foreign countries) is not as good as with the kings of the Second Intermediate Period. They are usually called every son of Re ( Sa Ra) or " Good God " ( Netscher nefer ). The only exception is Chajan that, but never together on some monuments as heka - chasut appear on the other with the classic tracks of an Egyptian ruler with both titles were. Ryholt generally assumed, therefore, that the Chajan wore a title as officials royal title just after the accession to the throne. Sokarhor he orders a trial basis as its predecessor, who reigned at a time when the royal titulary of the Hyksos was not yet fully adapted to the traditional Egyptian titulary.

Predecessor of Sokarhor are after Ryholt Semqen and Aperanat.

Name

The titulary of the king on the door bar from Tell el- Daba does not contain a Horus name. Its proper name is there though enclosed in a cartridge, but is not introduced with the title Son of Re, but with heka - chasut, Hyksos ( rulers of foreign countries). This is the first evidence of the title of " Hyksos " on a monument in front of a royal name, who was known only from scarabs and the Turin Royal Canon before. The following are the Nebti and the Golden Horus name.

His name Sikruhaddu is written in Egyptian hieroglyphs as Skr -Hr, which in Northwest Semitic commemoration of (God's ) Hadad ( Haddu ) means. Thomas Schneider believed that the name Sikruhaddu than that of the Archles to see the list of Manetho.
