Salim Rubai Ali

Salim Ali al-Rubaie (Arabic سالم ربيع علي, DMG Sālim Rubaie ʿ ʿ Alī, * 1934, † 26 June 1978 ) was a Yemeni politician and chairman of the Presidential Council of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen president of South Yemen (People's Democratic Republic of Yemen).

Biography

After the deposition of Qahtan Muhammad al- Shaabi he was on 23 June 1969 as Chairman of the Presidential Council of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen president of South Yemen (People's Democratic Republic of Yemen). As such, he was standing in front of a socialist left-wing government under the Yemeni Socialist Party. On 26 June 1978, he was then overthrown by Ali Nasir Muhammad and executed then.
