Sami as-Solh

Sami Solh or Sami Solh it - (Arabic سامي الصلح Sami al- Sulh, * 1890 Mutessariflik Lebanon, † 1968) was a politician of the United Lebanon. From a major Sunni Muslim family, he was several times member of parliament for Beirut and Lebanese Prime Minister.

In the French mandate, he was appointed on July 26, 1942 as Prime Minister, a position he held until March 22, 1943. After the country's independence, he was the first of 20 August 1945 to May 22, 1946 Prime Minister, then from 11 February to September 9, 1952, from 16 September 1954 to 19 September of 1956, and on 18 November 1956 to September 10, 1958.
