San Bartolomé de Tirajana

San Bartolomé de Tirajana is a municipality with 56 698 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) over an area of ​​333.13 km ² in the south of Gran Canaria. The neighboring municipalities are Tejeda in the northwest, Vega de San Mateo and Valsequillo in the north, Agüimes in the Northeast, Santa Lucía de Tirajana in the east and in the west Mogan. The name part Tirajana refers to a strain of the Urkanarier who lived by the Spaniards in what is now the place before the conquest of the island.
