The San Luis Rey River is a 88 km long river in northern San Diego County in California. The San Luis Rey River rises in the Cleveland National Forest and crosses this also in its upper reaches. Near Warner Springs at the headwaters of the San Luis Rey River is dammed at Lake Henshaw. In the north of Oceanside, he finally empties into the Pacific Ocean.
