Sandipan Chanda

Chanda Sandipan (born 13 August 1983) is an Indian chess master.

Sandipan conquered or occupied top positions in several tournaments: 1st place at a tournament in Wiesbaden ( 2002), 1st - 2nd place in the Open in Winterthur ( 2002), 2nd place in the Open Chess Leinfelder days in Leinfelden (2002) and three times 2. Place in the Indian Championship ( 2003, 2004, 2006). For the Indian national team, he played in years 2004-2008 three times at the Chess Olympiad.

Since 2003, it bears the grandmaster title. Since the 2001/ 02 season he plays in Germany for the chess society Solingen, in the season 2002/ 03 for the first time in the chess Bundesliga.
