Sándor Wladár

Sándor Wladar [ ʃa ː ndor vlɒda ː r] ( born July 19, 1963 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian swimmer.

He was at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow Olympic champion in the 200 m backstroke. He also became European champion in 1981 over 100 m and 200 m backstroke. From 1985 to 1987 he was also active as a water polo player.

In 1981 he was voted European Swimmer of the Year. He also became Hungary's Sportsman of the Year in the same year.
