St. Margaret at the Sierning (also St. Margaret at the Sierning ) is a municipality with 986 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of St. Pölten- Land in Lower Austria.

St. Margaret at the Sierning located in Mostviertel in Lower Austria. The area of the municipality covers 14.56 square kilometers. 7.3 percent of the area is forested.

The municipality comprises the cadastral own village, filing village, Kainradsdorf, Small Sierning, Linsberg, Margaret, Oberhofen, Rammersdorf, Saudorf, Türnau, Unterradl, Wieden at Margaret and Wilhersdorf at Margaret.
History
In ancient times, the area was part of the province of Noricum. The parish in St.Margarethen / Sierning was built around the year 1200. In the core Austrian state of Lower Austria lying the place told the eventful history of Austria.
Population Development
According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 1025 inhabitants. In 1991, the municipality had 1006 inhabitants in 1981 and 941 in 1971, 899 inhabitants.
Policy
Mayor of the municipality is Franz Trischler, chief officer Renate Mayringer. In the council there after the municipal elections in 2010 for a total of 19 seats following distribution of seats: 15 ÖVP, SPÖ 4, no other seats.
