Sant Joan DespÃ
Sant Joan Despi is a Catalan city in the province of Barcelona, in northeastern Spain. It is located in the comarca of Baix Llobregat and belongs to the metropolitan area Area Metropolitana de Barcelona.
Culture and sights
The town has a number of interesting modernist buildings, including the Catalan architect Josep Maria Jujol (1879-1949), who was a student of Antoni Gaudí. These are mainly the former town hall, which today houses the Centre Jujol and an interesting dome - building near the Sant Joan Despi station.
In addition, is located in the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, the sports center of FC Barcelona.
