Santiago Solari ( 2002)

Santiago Hernán Solari ( born October 7, 1976 in Rosario, Santa Fe Province) is an Argentine football player.

Career

Solari began his career in 1994 at Newell 's Old Boys and the local amateur club Renato Cesarini. In 1996 he moved to Buenos Aires, River Plate. In 1999 followed the transfer in the Spanish league to Atlético de Madrid, and then in 2000 to local rivals Real Madrid.

At Real Madrid, the midfielder scored his greatest success so far: 2002 UEFA Champions League was won in 2001 and 2003, the Spanish championship.

2005 Santiago Solari wrote a three -year contract with Inter Milan and joined the Serie A.

End of June 2008 did not extend Inter Milan the expiring contract and Solari joined free transfer back to his native Argentina to San Lorenzo. In July 2009 he moved to Mexico. He signed a contract with the first division there CF Atlante.

Solari, who is also called El Indiecito, is the nephew of Jorge Solari and cousin of Fernando Redondo, both former Argentinian international.
