São Gonçalo Channel

The Canal São Gonçalo is a natural channel ( tidal inlet ) in southern Brazil.

The waterway is located in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul and connects the Laguna dos Patos Lagoa Merín with. At its eastern end it separates the cities of Rio Grande and Pelotas each other. The most important tributary is the Río Piratini.
