São João da Madeira is a city ( Cidade ) and a circle ( concelho ) in Portugal, with 21 685 inhabitants (as at 30 June 2011). In a nationwide study of Place Award 2010 as the Most Livable circle of Portugal, and is the only city in Europe with nationwide and free wireless Internet access.

Geography
