Sara Isaković

Sara Isakovič ( born June 9, 1988 in Bled, Yugoslavia) is a Slovenian swimmer, who has spent most of her childhood in Dubai.

Career

Before Isakovič emigrated to the USA to study at Berkeley, the University of California and train with the swim team CalBears, she served on the swimming club Žito Gorenjka radovljica in radovljica, Slovenia, where he was coached by Miha Potočnik.

The first time appeared Isakovič at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens at a major international swimming event. She went there about 50 meters, 100 meters and 200 meters freestyle, as well as with the Slovenian 4 x 200 meters freestyle relay and was able to record her best individual result with 18th place on 200 meters. With the season they reached the 16th place.

In December of the same year, at the Short Course European Championships in Vienna in 2004, she managed each over 200 meters and 400 meters freestyle to place in the final and finished about 200 meters to the fifth and the eighth overall place over 400 meters.

Their first international achievements came at the 2005 Mediterranean Games in Almería, as they over 200 meters and 400 meters freestyle respectively won the silver medal. Barely one month later, at the World Swimming Championships in Montreal, she reached the final of the 200 meters freestyle and was finally Fifth.

In 2005, she also took eighth place yet about their special route, the 200 meters freestyle at the European Short Course Championships in Trieste

Your only previous title at major international competitions, the European Champion title in 2008, at the European Swimming Championships in Eindhoven about 200 meters freestyle. She also made in these competitions also about 100 meters freestyle and 100 meters butterfly at the start and was there each eighth.

Largest international sensation was caused Isakovič at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing when they Federica Pellegrini behind won the silver medal over 200 meters freestyle.
