Saturday Night Fever: The Original Movie Sound Track is the soundtrack album to the film Saturday Night Fever 1977 In the United States, the album remained 24 weeks at the top of the album charts and stayed there even after the peak ride to March 1980 in the charts.. In the UK the album for 18 weeks also reached # 1 on both sides of the Atlantic embodied the album due to the popularity the "Disco " phenomenon.
History
Most of the songs in the album composed the Bee Gees, in addition to the success of Saturday Night Fever was the best-selling soundtrack album of all time until Whitney Houston surpassed this with the soundtrack album for the film Bodyguard. Even the cultural impact of the film in the U.S. were enormous. Originally, the soundtrack only the songs Stayin 'Alive, Night Fever, How Deep Is Your Love, More Than a Woman ( In the film, presented both by the Bee Gees and Tavares ) and If I Can not Have You ( sung by Yvonne Elliman ) provided. Later, the excitation was followed by the older songs Jive Talkin ' and You Should Be Dancing in the album add as emphasizing the " disco era ", hence songs by other artists came up with this.
