Saurav Ghosal

Saurav Ghosal ( born August 10, 1986 in Calcutta) is an Indian squash players.

Career

Even in his junior career Saurav Ghosal won several major tournaments, including the British Junior Open 2004. His professional career began in 2003 and won the previous five tournaments on the PSA World Tour. Its highest ranking in the world rankings Saurav Ghosal reached rank 15 in December 2013. At the World Championships in the double 2004 he was in Chennai on the side of Ritwik Bhattacharya Vice World Champion. In 2006 he won the bronze medal in singles at the Asian Games in Doha. He was awarded the Arjuna Award for this success. In the subsequent Games 2010 in Guangzhou Saurav Ghosal won again in both single as well as each of the team bronze. With the Indian national team, he took in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013 World Cups. He was previously nine times Indian national champion. At the World Championships in 2013, he moved for the first time in his career to reach the quarter -finals. He is the first Indian squash player to have managed.
