Savang Vadhana

Queen Savang Vadhana ( Thai: พระเจ้า ลูกเธอ พระองค์เจ้า สว่าง วัฒนา or สมเด็จ พระ ศรี สว ริน ทิ รา บรม ราชเทวี, Somdet Phra Sri Savarindira Boromma Rajadevi, even Sri Savarindra; born September 10, 1862 in Bangkok, † December 17, 1955 same place ) was a the main women of King Chulalongkorn ( Rama V ) of Siam (now Thailand). After King Prajadipok had abdicated in 1935, the son of Queen Savang Vadhanas followed him youngest son as Ananda Mahidol to the throne. Death

Queen Savang Vadhana died on 17 December 1955 at the age of 93 years in Bangkok. Her ashes is on the Royal Cemetery at Wat Ratchabophit in Bangkok. A residence of the Queen can be seen in Bang Pa In. In her later years she lived in the Sa Pathum Palace where a museum is set up in her memory.
