Savudrija

Savudrija (Italian: Salvore ) is a small seaside town in Croatia, on the northwest tip of the Istria peninsula and area of ​​Umag. The settlement is situated about 50 kilometers south-west of Trieste and 8 kilometers north from the center of Umag. About 400 inhabitants live permanently in Savudrija. Their economic base is mainly in tourism and tourism -related occupations. Are self-sustaining agriculture, especially the cultivation of vegetables and wine production in the fertile Terra rossa soils of the district. History

The town's landmark is the built in 1826 about thirty meters high lighthouse, the oldest and most northerly in Croatia.
