Sawi District

Amphoe Sawi ( Thai: อำเภอ สวี ) is a district ( Amphoe - Administrative District) Chumphon province in southern Thailand.

Geography

Amphoe Sawi is by following Amphoe limited (as seen from the south clockwise from ): Amphoe Thung Tako and Amphoe Lang Suan Chumphon Province, Amphoe La -un and Amphoe Kra Buri and Amphoe Mueang Ranong Province Chumphon Chumphon again. To the east is the Gulf of Thailand.

History

The story of Sawi goes back to the city ( Mueang ) Sawi, which lay on the banks of the Sawi River. On April 16, 1897, the first county government was opened in the " village 5" of Tambon Na Pho. After the administration had been moved a few times, she is now in the " village 4" of Tambon Sawi, where it had been opened on 1 October 2001.

Management

Amphoe Lamae consists of eleven sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 114 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

Na Pho is the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district. It consists of parts of the Tambon Na Pho.

In addition, there are ten " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
