Saxeten is a municipality in the Interlaken- Oberhasli administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.
Saxeten church belongs to the parish Gsteig near Interlaken.
Geography
The name Saxeten probably goes back to the Latin form saxata ( rocky place ).
Saxeten is drained by the Saxetbach, which flows near Wilderswil the Lütschen.
History
On July 27, 1999, in the canyon of Saxetbaches a canyoning accident in which 21 young people from Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa and Switzerland, found the death occurred.

Train
