Sayed Kashua

Sayed Kashua (Arabic سيد قشوع Sayyid ʿ Qaschū; Hebrew סייד קשוע; * 1975 in Tira, Israel) is an Israeli writer.

Kashua works as a columnist for Haaretz and Ha'ir. Kashua writes in Hebrew and addressed as an Arab Israeli social and cultural tensions of the Palestinians, who are also Israeli citizens. His previously published novels have been best sellers in Israel. In addition, he wrote the screenplays of the Israeli sitcom Aravit Avodah ( " Arab work"), which is aired on Arutz 2. He lived with his wife and family in the Palestinian part of the village of Beit Safafa in Jerusalem, before he moved into a Jewish neighborhood in Westjerusalum.
