Sazená

Sazená ( German Sasena ) is a municipality with 272 inhabitants ( 2006) in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers north of Kralupy nad Vltavou and belongs to Okres Kladno. The community area is 677 ha

Geography

The place is located in located 176 m above sea level the left side of the Vltava River in the valley of Bakovský creek. Southeast of the church runs the state road 16 between the D8 motorway near Nová Ves and Velvary, behind the central oil bases in the Czech Republic is Nelahozeves. In the northwest of the community of the airfield is Sazená ( LKSZ ).

Neighboring towns are Ledčice in the north, Nová Ves in the northeast, Nové Ouholice in the east, Staré Ouholice and Podhořany the southeast, Uhy in the south, Chržín the southwest, Miletice in the west and Loucká in the northwest.

History

The village was probably built in the 12th century during the colonization of the area. The first mention of Sazená was in 1295 as property of the local nobles and Theodorik Držkraj. Until the 16th century the village belonged to various petty landlords. 1513, the village was burned down. At this time Sazená was owned by the Old Town of Prague, which sold it in 1547 to the Royal Chamber.

A year later acquired by Florian Griespek Griespach the village of Ferdinand I. and hit him his reign Mühlhausen. 1606 left the Griespach the Sazená castle built in order that originated during the time of the manorial estate. 1757 acquired the monastery Doksany the estate. While the management by the Premonstratensian the brewery was abandoned. The time until 1773, the heyday of the estate, several barns, memory, and the sheep was created, the castle and the bridge were repaired. After the dissolution of the monastery in 1782, Ulrich Graf Kinsky bought it out, and closed it to the reign Zlonice. 1810 a major fire destroyed 30 houses. After the abolition of serfdom in 1848, the property rule dissolved and divided into two courtyards. After the founding of Czechoslovakia in 1921 was the nationalization of the big estates of Kinsky. The castle and the largest part of the forest went on to community ownership. From 1947 to 1948, the castle was converted into a cultural center and now it is among other things Seat of the commune office.

From 13 to 19 October 2002 there were on the airfield the world championships in model rocketry sports instead, about 300 athletes from 11 countries took part in the.

Events

The airfield is LKSZ annually in September / October the venue for the Sazená Cup, a model rocket flight competition, held at the competitions in all model rocket competition classes.

Since 1991, the motor glider meeting Aero Tour Sazená jointly by the Aero Club Kralupy nad Vltavou and motor gliders from the Upper Palatinate held on the airfield. The highest turnout was in 1994 with 50 crews. But there are not only motor sailer, but machines of all types. The next event will take place on the last weekend of August 2011.
