Sazhid Sazhidov

Saschid Chalilrachimowitsch Saschidow (Russian Сажид Халилрахимович Сажидов; born February 6, 1980 in Gigatli, Dagestan ) is a Russian wrestler Dagestani origin. He was 2003 and 2006 world champion and won a bronze medal at the 2004 Olympic Games respectively in free style at middleweight.

Career

Saschid Saschidow began as a teenager with the rings. He first belonged to the Army Sports Club CSKA Makhachkala and then to the Army Sports Club CSKA Moscow. He is also a sports student. His army membership is only used for social security. Actually, he is wrestler by profession. His coaches were or are Dalgat Abdulbasirow, Mairbek Yusupov and Said Murtasalijew. It focuses entirely on the free style. Even as a junior, he enjoyed great success, for he was between 1995 and 2000 in each of the categories of Junior three times World Champion and European Champion.

In the senior level, he won the European champion middleweight title in his first start at the European Championships in 2001 in Budapest. In the final he defeated while the Georgians David Bichinaschwili, the then went to Ukraine at the start, but in the meantime is a German citizen and starts for Germany. The point victory over Saschid Saschidow Bichinaschwili was there very close with 4:3.

2002 won Saschid Saschidow the renowned " Ivan Yarigin " tournament in Krasnoyarsk at middleweight before Chadschimurad Gazalow, and Shamil Magomedov Chadschimurad Gitinow, all from Russia and Lee Full hard from the United States. He came in this year, but only at the European Championships in Baku for use, where he again won the title. In 2003 he represented Russia at the World Championships in New York City at middleweight. He won there over Arkadi Tschopa from Bulgaria, Buyandelger Batbayar from Mongolia, Moon Eui- Jae of South Korea, Yoel Romero Palacio from Cuba and Sergei Borchanka from Ukraine. In the final he met the U.S. local hero Cael Sanderson, a bulky, hard to struggling athletes, which he did with 4:3 techn. Could defeat points. It was for the first time in his career, world champion in the seniors.

When " Ivan Yarigin " tournament 2004, he won ahead of the world-class athletes Cael Sanderson, Vadim Lalijew from Russia, Magomed Kurugliew from Kazakhstan and Adam Saitijew from Russia and qualified for the Russian team at the Olympic Games in Athens. In Athens he met after three easy victories in the early rounds in the semifinals of the South Korean Moon Eui- Jae, whom he had mastered clear at the World Cup in 2003. In Athens, Moon turned but the tables and beat Saschid Saschidow convincingly on points ( 10:2 techn. Dots). In 2005 Saschid Saschidow was defeated at the Russian middleweight championship in the final battle of Schirwani Muradov. But he was still employed at the World Championships in Budapest, but where he disappointed from the Russian perspective, because he lost to Rewas Mindoraschwili from Georgia on points and had to be in the fight for the bronze medal and the Kazakhs Magomed Kurugliew bow.

But he triumphed in 2006 for the second time at the World Championships in Guangzhou / China. He won there with five victories in the semifinals and beat Taras Danko of Ukraine and in the final battle Rewas Mindoraschwili.

In 2007 Saschid Saschidow was defeated at the Russian middleweight championship in the finals of Georgi Ketojew just by points, and this result was very controversial and led to riots in the mat. In the semi finals of this championship, he had Adam Saitijew as scarce as he lost to Ketojew beaten. The same result also yielded the " Ivan Yarigin " tournament in 2008 in Krasnoyarsk, where again won Georgi Ketojew before Saschid Saschidow, Adam Saitijew and Soslan Kzojew. For Saschid Saschidow meant these results indicate that it was no use at the Olympic Games in Beijing, at the 2007 World Championships and the European Championships in 2007 and 2008.

His last international success was therefore of winning the world title at the World Military Championships 2007 in Hyderabad before Radoslaw Horbik from Poland.
