Geography

Aggsbach is located in Lower Austria in the Wachau valley on the right bank of the Danube. The area of ​​the municipality covers 28.33 square kilometers. 71.69 percent of the area is forested.

History

In the core Austrian state of Lower Austria lying the place told the eventful history of Austria. In 1969, the municipality by the merger of the municipalities Schoenbuehel and Aggsbach village.

Population Development
