Scott Tipton

Scott Randall Tipton ( born November 9, 1956 in Espanola, New Mexico ) is an American politician. Since 2011 he represents the state of Colorado in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Scott Tipton attended Cortez High School and thereafter until 1978, the Fort Lewis College in Durango. Then he ran a pottery company with his brother. Politically, he joined the Republican Party. In August 1976 he was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in Kansas City, was nominated to the President Gerald Ford for re-election. In the years 1980 and 1984 he supported the election campaigns of Ronald Reagan. Later he became involved in the election campaign of George W. Bush. In 2006, he ran unsuccessfully for even the U.S. House of Representatives. Between 2008 and 2010 he was a delegate in the House of Representatives from Colorado.

In the congressional elections of 2010, Tipton was in the third constituency of Colorado in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of him previously defeated Democrat John Salazar on January 3, 2011. He is a member of the Committee on Agriculture, the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on Small Business, and in five sub-committees. During his tenure, he saw himself some allegations against the ethics exposed. This is discussed included abuse of taxpayers' money for the election campaign or for donations to the company of his nephew. Tipton is married and has two daughters.

In the congressional elections in 2012, he sat down with 53:41 percent of the vote against the Democrats by Sal Pace.
