Sean Rosenthal

Sean Rosenthal ( born June 19, 1980 in Redondo Beach ( California ), USA) is an American beach volleyball player.

Career

Sean Rosenthal plays since 1997 on the U.S. AVP Tour and since 2003 internationally on the FIVB World Tour. From 2003 to 2005 he played with Larry Witt and won in this time also his first AVP tournaments. From 2006 to 2013 Rosenthal plays with Jacob Gibb, with whom he won the FIVB Open tournaments in 2006 in Acapulco and 2008 in Prague. At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 Gibb / Rosenthal landed at number five after failed due to the later Bronze Medal winners Ricardo / Emanuel in the quarterfinals. At the World Championships in 2007 succeeded them a fifth place in Gstaad, 2009 in Stavanger, a ninth place in Rome in 2011 and a 17th place. The last joint of 2012 was the most successful of Gibb / Rosenthal: After two Grand Slam victories on the FIVB World Tour in Rome and Gstaad they finished in fifth place at the Olympic Games in London and were eventually FIVB Tour Champion. Sean Rosenthal plays from 2013 with Phil Dalhausser and won the Fuzhou Open and the Grand Slam in Rome. At the 2013 World Championships in Stare Jabłonki Dalhausser / Rosenthal landed at number nine.
