Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs

The position of foreign minister, called Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs was first awarded in the British Cabinet in 1782. 1968 changed the course of the transformation of the Foreign Office to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the official title of Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.
