Seekirchen am Wallersee

Neumarkt is a town with 10,136 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the Flachgau in the state of Salzburg in Austria. It is located directly on the Wallersee, across from Neumarkt am Wallersee. Neumarkt is occupied documented for over 1,300 years, but has only recently been awarded its town charter.

Geography

Neumarkt am Wallersee is part of the judicial district of Neumarkt in Salzburg. Neighboring municipalities are Anthering, Elixhausen, Eugen village, Hallwang, Henndorf, Köstendorf, Mattsee, Obertrum and Schleedorf.

History

Since at least 5000 years, people on Seekirchner municipal area live (New Stone Age ). 696 Neumarkt was first mentioned in documents from the St. Rupert ( Bishop of Worms). In the hermit house founded by him was also a the Holy. Petrus church dedicated Erstkirche and marriage church called, allegedly emerged from the corruption by the local name Neumarkt. Neumarkt is the longest continuously occupied city in Austria. In 1424, the survey was a market town. On 1 July 1974, the independent municipalities were merged Neumarkt Neumarkt market and land to the municipality of Neumarkt am Wallersee. On Rupertitag (24 September ) of 2000 Neumarkt was awarded its town charter

The right arm brown clothed (man ), the left naked ( woman). Links in blue over naturfärbigem Wellenschildfuß on silver ground a silver church with red roofs. Outside, above the upper plate edge side by side, the black year figures in 1424 and 1974.

Infrastructure

Neumarkt is located directly on the Western Railway and has a railway station on both the fast passenger trains, as well as hold the line S2 S-Bahn Salzburg, thus enabling quick connection granted to the city of Salzburg. Economy

Small and medium enterprises dominate the Seekirchner economic structure. Of the approximately 300 companies, more than 90 percent employ fewer than 5 employees.

The city center of Neumarkt could, despite influx of chain stores, preserve its trade structure with predominantly small businesses.

About 65 small and medium-sized enterprises in trade, crafts, cuisine and service are organized in the City Marketing Neumarkt. The funded municipality Neumarkt, Tourism and traders association has existed since 2004. Primary purpose is the revitalization and attractiveness of the city center and the organization of joint advertising and promotional activities. By 2004, this task was taken over by the advertising community "buy in ".

Of the approximately 5000 ha Geographical area about 4000 ha are used for agriculture and forestry. 16 % of this area ( about 640 ha ) are used for forestry use. The remaining 84 % are mainly of grassland use. Of the approximately 170 livestock -holding farms 4,800 dairy cows and about 2,400 young cattle are kept.

The majority of the quantity of milk produced is processed into Emmentaler cheese. About 30% of farms are run as full-time farms, the remaining 70% as additions and sideline. The ownership structure of some 240 agricultural landowners has hardly changed over the past 70 years.

Neumarkt has its own cultural center with mainly contemporary orientation. The House of Culture Emailwerk is operated by the Cultural Association Kunstbox, a cultural association founded in 2004. The main objectives of the Cultural Association Kunstbox are the sponsorship of cultural activities in Neumarkt and the region as well as the necessary conditions for a professional work culture to create. The club also offers an aligned on the key areas of culture program and diverse cultural training opportunities. The Cultural Association Kunstbox is a member of the umbrella organization of Salzburg's cultural sites and IG Culture Austria, in Salzburg Regional Cultural Advisory Council and the Advisory Board for cultural initiatives Salzburg country.

Sports

It is known the football club founded in 1945, SV Hall in 1945, which is currently in the Regionalliga West, the third highest playing level in Austrian football events, plays and with the brothers Ibertsberger and Thomas Winklhofer even spawned three Austrian national football team.

ASKO SC Neumarkt 1980 The fist ball club was founded in 1980 by Gerhard Strasser, Peter Brown and Manfred Wieser Schmidhuber currently plays in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the junior level ASKOE Neumarkt is one of the most successful clubs in Austria. Numerous Austria. Titles and podiums confirm the excellent young talent. Luke Pichelstorfer reached with the U18 national team silver at the World Championships, Andrea Mödlhamer, Veronika pounds and Luke Pichelstorfer could reach bronze at U18 European Championships.
