Šefko Omerbašić

Ševko Omerbašić ( born June 9, 1945 in Ustikolina in Foca, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia, now Bosnia and Herzegovina) is an Islamic theologian. He received at the Gazi Husrev - Madresa (Islamic school) in Sarajevo his training. He is the Mufti of Zagreb and the Grand Mufti ( ie, the highest Muslim authority ) of Croatia.

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter A Common Word between Us and You (English A Common Word Between Us and You), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (English " Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... " ) submitted (13 October 2007).
