The Segeltorps IF is a Swedish sports club from Segeltorp, known especially for his wife 's ice hockey team. This participates in the Riksserien, the highest level of female hockey league in Sweden.
History
In the 1999/2000 season took the Segeltorps IF the first time at the national level in the game operation of the Division II, Relay east, in part. 2002 came with the third-place game of the second class of the ascent to Division I.
In the season 2006/ 07 women's team reached the championship final, which it lost against AIK Solna with 1:2 in extra time. One year later, defeated the AIK 5-2 in the final and won for the first time the Swedish championship title. End of the season 2009/10 was followed by a further gain the championship title.
Due to the national success of the club took part from 2006 at the IIHF European Women Champions Cup and twice reached the final tournament. Here, the Segeltorps IF won in 2009, second place in the competition.
The home games of the Hockey Teams are staged in the Segeltorpshallen. The club has other sections in football and bandy.
