Sehlem
Sehlem is a municipality in the Eifel district of Bernkastel-Wittlich, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Wittlich -Land.

History
Sehlem was part of the Electorate of Trier. Beginning in 1794, Sehlem under French rule, 1815, the place on the Congress of Vienna was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia. Since 1946 he is part of Rhineland- Palatinate newly formed.

Sehlem is located on Highway 1 and has a station on the railway line between Koblenz and Trier.

Musikverein Sehlem Esch -
The Musikverein Sehlem -Ash was founded in 1929. Due to the Second World War, however, the musical life in Sehlem and Esch came to a complete standstill until 1952 to a double association " Concordia " Sehlem - Esch, has consisting of the Musikverein and the men's glee club was founded. In 1987, a separation of the association was carried out in two independent associations, the glee club and the Musikverein.
Conservation group Sehlem ( NABU) e.V.
The establishment of the association took place in 1978 as a bird protection group Sehlem in the former German Confederation for bird conservation. The group is committed to the conservation of natural habitats and provides practical conservation. Focuses on the bird and amphibian conservation and the maintenance simplistic own areas (wetlands, hedgerows and orchards ).
