Selah Sue

Selah Sue ( May 3, 1989 in lion; actually Sanne Putseys ) is a Belgian singer- songwriter. Your music belongs to the genre of soul music with influences of reggae, funk and hip- hop.

Life

In her childhood, Selah Sue still took dance lessons, but at age 15 she began to play the guitar and writing songs to be interested. Only two years later, she was discovered at a contest co-organizer of Milow and invited to play with him in the opening act of his concerts. Radio appearances in Brussels they made more widely known. It was followed by appearances as support of Jamie Lidell, James Morrison and others as well as concerts at renowned festivals in Belgium and the Netherlands.

At age 20 she had her first record contract and made recordings, including a duet with Cee- Lo Green titled Please, that was released on his album The Lady Killer, and later on his own debut album. With a Prince concert in Antwerp, she performed the opening act.

With the songs Raggamuffin Crazy vibes and they had from 2010 first successes both in the Dutch- and French-speaking space beyond the borders of Belgium also. Appeared to her for her self- named debut album in March 2011 and finished second in their native Flemish No. 1 on the charts. It was produced by DJ Farhot and reggae musician Patrice, whom she accompanied on his tour in autumn 2010 also in Germany.

In the Belgian Music Industry Awards, she was awarded in early 2011 as the best solo artist.
