Sénas
Sénas is a commune with 6661 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.
Geography
The village lies on the mountain chain of the Alpilles twelve kilometers north of Salon-de -Provence. To the north lies the neighboring Orgon. The municipality is situated on the Durance. The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of the Alpilles.
History
Since 1512 a ferry connects the village with mérindol on the other side of the Durance. 1838 was Sénas locality of the " Stèles d' Orgon ", the steles of Orgon. They are the remains of a Neolithic settlement in the form of the Alpilles.

Economy and infrastructure
The municipality is situated on the Autoroute du Soleil. Very close to the town center there is the driveway Sénas. Sénas part of the growing area of Vin de Pays des Alpilles.
