Send Away the Tigers is the eighth album by Welsh band Manic Street Preachers. It was released on 7 May 2007 and was designed by fans and critics to classic alternative rock, the band played the mid-1990s on Everything Must Go, seen as a return. Nicky Wire himself described the album as a mixture of Generation Terrorists and Everything Must Go.

Content

After the commercial flop of Lifeblood, the Manics took a break. James Dean Bradfield released the solo album The Great Western, Nicky Wire I Killed the Zeitgeist. The end of 2006 began recording a new LP. The lyrics on Send Away the Tigers were again far more political than its predecessor; it was (Band from the album John Lennon / Plastic Ono ) recorded, which took place as a hidden track on the CD itself, among other things, a cover of John Lennon's classic Working Class Hero. Rendition is concerned with the so-called Extraordinary Rendition, a part of the foreign policy of the United States, which provides for the extradition of terrorist suspects. With irony is also alluded to the film Missing starring Jack Lemmon. Your Love Alone Is Not Enough - the first single from the album - is a duet with Nina Persson, lead singer of the Swedish band The Cardigans.
