Sestrunj
Sestrunj (Italian: Sestrugno ) is an island of the archipelago Zadar in Croatia.
Location and population
The small, about 15 km2 island is located between the islands of Dugi Otok, Ugljan and Rivanj. There is a boat connection to Zadar. Sestrunj is also the name of the only village on the island, with 48 inhabitants.
History
The island was inhabited early on by Illyrians. Individual mounds can still be seen today.
