Seventeen Seconds

Seventeen Seconds is the second studio album by the British band The Cure. It was released in April 1980 Fiction Records.

History

Because of the low budgets between 2,000 and 3,000 pounds, the album was recorded in just seven days with producer Mike Hedges. Many pieces are keyboard dominated, have a rather minimalist vocals on with a lot of reverb. Especially the decoupled as single A Forest became a hit and has been widely gecovert.

Criticism

On the website Allmusic.com the critics were 3 of 5 stars. He wrote that the album was a subtle, balanced plant that "grows on the listener with the times".
