Shafiq al-Hout

Shafik Hout, Shafiq al - Arab شفيق الحوت hat, DMG Safiq al - hat, also Shafiq al -Hout or Shafik al - Hut ( born January 13, 1932 in Jaffa; † August 2, 2009 in Beirut), was co-founder of PLO and a longtime member of the organization. He was a close adviser to Yasser Arafat to a dispute because of the Oslo Accords.

In 1948 he was forced to flee with his family to Lebanon. He studied at the American University in Beirut. After a short time in Kuwait in 1958, he returned to Beirut back. Since 1964 he was editor in chief of al - Hawadeth. Shafik Hout actively participated in the founding of the PLO. From 1964 to 2004 he was a representative of the organization in Lebanon. Between 1974 and 1993 he was a member of the delegation of the PLO in the UN General Assembly in New York. He was a member of the Palestinian National Council and its Executive Committee from time to time belonged to. After the Oslo agreement was signed in 1993, entered Al -Hout in protest of the Executive Committee.
