Shahshahan mausoleum

The Schahschahan Mausoleum (Persian بقعه شهشهان, IPA: boqʔe jɛ ʃæhʃæhɑn ) is a historic mausoleum in Isfahan, Iran. It is adjacent to the Friday Mosque and the tomb of the famous Sufis in Isfahan Scheych Alaeddin Mohammad. According to the date of death Scheych Alaeddins in December 1446, the mausoleum was built in 1446-1448. The building is decorated inside and out with stucco and ceramic tiles. His destroyed almost half dome, was built in the last years.

History

Scheych Alaeddin Mohammad was highly appreciated by Sultan Mohammad- paving - Bayssonqor, a grandson of Tamerlane, ruler of Fars and Arak, which is why he was able to set up a comfortable life. When Sultan Muhammad against his uncle Shah Ruch rebelled and it was defeated, captured Shah Ruch Isfahan, why Sultan Mohammad had to flee to Lorestan. Because Shah Sultan Muhammad Ruch could not lay hands, he took Scheych Alaeddin captured and exiled him to Saweh.

Egged on by his wife Gauhar - Schad, Shah Ruch Scheych called Alaeddin from Saweh to condemn to death back to him. 80 days after his death also died Shah Ruch. Sultan Mohammad- paving - Bayssonqor then returned to Isfahan and ordered to bury the corpse Scheych Alaeddins in Chaneqah where he had preached. He ordered a mausoleum to be built over his grave. The children Scheych Alaeddins were also buried in the mausoleum, but their grave stones were destroyed in the course of time and forget their names.

A Nastaliq inscription in the form of a vase was placed on the green background of the eastern wall on the inside of the mausoleum in stucco.
