Shaqlawa

Schaqlawa (Kurdish شقلاوه; , Şeqlawe Arab شقلاوة, DMG Šaqlāwa, Syro -Aramaic ܫ ܗ ܠ ܐ ܒ ܐ ) is a city in Iraq, in the autonomous Kurdistan Region and is part of the province of Arbil on. The city has 124 628 inhabitants and is located about 966 m above sea level. Schaqlawa is located on a highway from Arbil to Piranschahr (Iran).
