Sheila Piercey Summers

Sheila Piercey Summers ( born March 18, 1919 in Johannesburg, South Africa; † 14 August 2005) was a former South African tennis player.

Career

In 1947 she won with her compatriot Eric Sturgess at the French Tennis Championships in mixed doubles against Jadwiga Jędrzejowska and Christian Caralulis in straight sets 6-0 and 6-0. The two were able to repeat their victory in 1949 against Jean Quertier and Gerry Oakley in two sets 6:1 and 6:1.

In mixed doubles, the Wimbledon Championships Piercey Summer and Sturgess 1949 won against John Bromwich and Louise Brough in three sets 9:7, 9:11 and 7:5.
